Kampa's headquarters, the K8 in Aalen-Waldhausen in Swabia, with over 3,000 m2 of floor space, is impressive proof of the performance of modern timber construction. It is Germany's first timber building with eight full storeys, whose load-bearing structure is made entirely of solid wood, even up to the edge of the high-rise building. The Stairwell and Lift Shaft are also made entirely of wood. The K8 is a prototype whose planning system and energy concept can be transferred to commercial and office buildings as well as to residential buildings.
