The existing accommodation, whose history dates back to the 17th century, was modernized in just 10 months, taking into account the regional architectural style and expanded to include an extension including a commercial building on the existing site.
The chosen U-shaped arrangement of the buildings created a quiet courtyard.
The boutique hotel Essigmanngut now has a floor space of 1,560 m² spread over 3 floors.
The building, designed by Horner Architect DI Karl Gruber, includes double rooms, studios and apartments with a total of 99 guest beds; 76 beds of which are located in the new ELK building.
It was important for the builders that the new building fits harmoniously into the surrounding area and in particular into the existing historic ensemble, while at the same time meeting current technical standards. The new building is connected to the existing building with a conservatory structure used as a breakfast area and has a modern wood look.
Construction of the building began in October 2019 and the building was handed over as planned on a turnkey basis in May 2020.
